# InboxState

> Type alias exported by @botmesh/core/spi.

Lifecycle of an inbound record:
`pending` → (claim) `processing` → `done` (ack) | `failed` (retry later) | `dead` (gave up) |
`pending` (release, not charged). An expired `processing` lease is claimable again.
