# TypingConfig

> Interface exported by @botmesh/core.

Automatic typing-indicator policy (`BotConfig.typing`, `ctx.reply(text, { typing })`).

## Properties

### enabled?

```ts theme={null}
enabled?: boolean;
```

Show the indicator before text replies. Defaults to `false` globally, `true` when set per reply.

### minMs?

```ts theme={null}
minMs?: string | number;
```

Shortest time the indicator is shown before the text is sent: a duration (`'800ms'`) or ms. Default 800.

### maxMs?

```ts theme={null}
maxMs?: string | number;
```

Longest time the indicator is shown before the text is sent: a duration (`'3s'`) or ms. Default 3000.

### charsPerSecond?

charsPerSecond?: number;
```

Simulated typing speed used to size the wait between `minMs` and `maxMs`. Default 20.
