# ReplyOptions

Per-reply pacing options accepted by `ctx.reply/say/answer/text/quote(text, opts)`.

## Properties

### typing?

```ts theme={null}
typing?: boolean | TypingConfig;
```

Override the bot-wide typing policy for this reply: `true` shows it with the
bot's timing, `false` suppresses it, an object enables it with these overrides
(set `enabled: false` inside it to suppress).

### delay?

delay?: string | number;
```

Pause before this reply (before the typing indicator, if any). Milliseconds or a
duration string (`'1.5s'`, `'500ms'`). Honored on every transport.

### cancelIf?

cancelIf?: () => boolean;
```

Checked after the delay / typing wait (only when there was one): when it returns
`true` the reply is dropped and resolves a `skipped` result. Flow `.say` uses it so
an aborted conversation does not speak after the fact. The bot also drops a paced
reply when it stops or the chat is handed off during the wait.
