# MediaRef

> Interface exported by @botmesh/core.

Opaque, lazy media reference on an inbound event. The bytes are NOT inline;
`IProvider.downloadMedia(ref)` retrieves them. This single shape covers:

* Baileys (decrypt + CDN fetch + possible reupload),
* Cloud API / Telegram (resolve id -> short-lived URL -> fetch bytes),
* Discord (plain HTTPS GET).
