# HandoffConfig

> Interface exported by @botmesh/core.

Defined in: [gates/handoff.ts:58](https://github.com/andresayac/botmesh/blob/main/packages/core/src/gates/handoff.ts#L58)

`BotConfig.handoff` — human-handoff behaviour.

## Properties

### allowCommands?

```ts theme={null}
allowCommands?: string[];
```

Defined in: [gates/handoff.ts:67](https://github.com/andresayac/botmesh/blob/main/packages/core/src/gates/handoff.ts#L67)

Commands that keep routing while a chat is handed off (e.g. `['/bot']` so the user
can call the bot back). Names may include the command prefix or not and are
compared like the Dispatcher compares commands (case/diacritic-insensitive). An
allowed command only bypasses the gate when a `bot.command()` handler is
registered for it — it never falls through to conversations, matchers or the
catch-all.

***

### persist?

```ts theme={null}
persist?: boolean;
```

Defined in: [gates/handoff.ts:73](https://github.com/andresayac/botmesh/blob/main/packages/core/src/gates/handoff.ts#L73)

Persist the handoff state in the store (`StoredChat.handoff` + the
`HANDOFF_INDEX_KEY` index) so it survives a restart. Default `true`. With
`false` the state lives in memory only.
